About the Foundation

IngaBritt och Arne Lundbergs Forskningsstiftelse aims to promote scientific medical research concerning cancer, renal disease and orthopaedics. Grants are awarded yearly, preferentially to researchers in West Sweden. Grants are primarily awarded for the purchase of instruments, equipment and aids. IngaBritt and Arne Lundberg’s Research Foundation was formed on 28 September 1982, when IngaBritt Lundberg donated the Foundation’s capital in memory of her husband Arne Lundberg. During the years from 1983 to 2020, 558 grants have been awarded amounting to over 900 MSEK and during 2020 totally 36 MSEK in grants were distributed. Research within the Gothenburg region is given precedence. The Foundation has its registered office in Gothenburg.
